For my first beer review I decided to go with a beer that has grown on me this summer, despite a previous indifference. I have to be honest in saying that until I tasted this beer out of the proper drinking vessel (in this case a Saint Arnold Pilsner glass), I was not a huge fan (though not a hater, either). However, drinking it out of this glass opened up the flavors properly and presented the beer in a whole new light.
With a good head, the noble hop aroma is very inviting. The initial taste is sweet, lingering into a biscuity-malt flavor and a well-balanced hop bitterness, ending with a slightly dry finish. With a refreshing overall character, this beer is easy to drink, leaving you satisfied yet longing for more. Perfect for hot Texas summers.
This is the only American-made Pilsner I have tried that has come close to the true classic Bohemian style, due to a great fusion of German and Czech ingredients, and wonderful craftsmanship.
This beer will have a place in my fridge every summer that I am lucky enough to enjoy. If you too decide to enjoy, please do yourself and this tasty beer a favor and drink it out of the proper glass. Experience its fullest potential. Cheers!
